AppleScript rules.
Sometimes I’ll be listening to random shit in my iTunes library and a song comes up that I know…but don’t know—if you know what I mean.
What better way to solve this than by writing an AppleScript to display a Growl Notification of the song, artist, and album of the song playing in iTunes (or display “no song playing” if there isn’t one) by typing “Now Playing” in a spotlight search.
I recently bought a @WesternDigital Elements 2TB external hard drive from @Newegg for an absurdly low price. Since my 13″ MacBook Air has only a 128GB SSD, I have been using it to serve as my main storage unit for the majority of my files while I remain in between buying a new computer for work. I realized yesterday that 1. plugging in drives is annoying, and 2. I have an AirPort Extreme with a deliciously empty USB port in the back of it.
